Do you ever experience numbness or tingling into your arms while working or sitting at a computer? Your posture may be the cause. When we slouch our shoulders move forward and the muscles that attach to our shoulder are forced to accomodate. Your pectoralis or 'pec' muscle will tighten and shorten which can lead to compression of the neurovascular bundle (nerves, arteries, and veins) which supply sensation to your arms and hands.
Try your best to practice good posture on a daily basis. If this does not help your symptoms or if you have questions regarding proper posture and ergonomics, please contact Align Chiropractic
