Today is World Health Day 2016 which is focused on spreading awareness of the ever growing prevalence of Diabetes across the world. The global prevalence of diabetes among adults over 18 years of age has risen from 4.7% in 1980 to 8.5% in 2014. That's nearly 1 in 10 people who suffer from the disease.
